Through research, we pinpoint the needs of women & girls in communities statewide

2017-18 Vail Valley Grantmaking

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado Vail Valley regional committee has discretionary funds to grant within their community, as a direct result of their fundraising efforts. This opportunity is separate from WFCO’s larger statewide grantmaking process, and is controlled locally in Vail. Applicants for these funds should align with The Foundation’s mission of catalyzing community to advance and accelerate economic opportunities for Colorado women and their families. Read the grantmaking guidelines for information on how to apply.

We are dedicated to diversity and inclusiveness in all of our efforts

In 2016, The Women’s Foundation of Colorado awarded more than $941,000 in grants to help women and girls on their paths to economic self-sufficiency in four priority areas: Girls Graduate, Single Moms Succeed, STEM, and Public Policy. WFCO’s strategic statewide grantmaking program funded 32 organizations throughout Colorado.

Other sources, including donor-advised funds held at WFCO; Beyond Our Borders, a group-advised fund held at WFCO; and the Girls’ Leadership Council funded an additional 36 organizations in Colorado and beyond.

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s 2017 grant guidelines have been updated in alignment with The Foundation’s 2017-2021 strategic plan.
